Introduction

The Judicial Service Commission (“JSC”) is constituted under Part IX of the Constitution of the Republic of Singapore. The Commission has jurisdiction over all officers in the Singapore Judicial Service. The Commission has the following functions and powers over these officers: appointment, confirmation, emplacement on the permanent establishment, promotion, transfer, disciplinary control and dismissal.
